A brand new Pizza Hut opens its doors in Tucson, Arizona.

It is a great pleasure to announce the opening of another successful relocation, this time near the University of Arizona. The University Unit, as we call it, just within a 5 to 10 minutes walk from campus, will allow us to provide hot fresh pizzas and other delicious meals from our menu to our college students.

Believe it or not, in just one day we got this brand new unit up and running. On May 31st we closed our Campbell unit, moved on June 1st and on June 2nd we celebrated our new opening. This unit used to be located in one of the very oldest buildings in our Tucson market, 15 to 20 minutes away from the university. We made the decision to relocate closer because our previous location didn’t meet our needs and wasn’t appropriate to cater to the local and international student population.

One of the biggest challenges with this remodel during the pandemic was getting it inspected before opening. A lot of services are still running with minimal staffing making scheduling an appointment with the health department and fire department difficult. It has been hard for vendors to come through with their delivery dates and a lot of rescheduling has had to take place. While this slowed things down significantly, we still managed to get there in the end and now we’re open and excited to receive students this coming semester. We have some surprises and incentives up our sleeves to make returning to class better than ever!

Emerge specializes in purchasing units with potential and improving all aspects of service to enhance our guests’ and employees’ experience. Discipline, effective planning and an extreme sense of urgency drove us to complete this 24-hour turnaround in record time so a big “thank you” and “well done” to all our staff and the people involved in making this happen
