AOP 2026: One Vision. Three Goals. A Year of Storm Riders.

Annual Operating Plan meetings are meant to set the direction for the year ahead.

But AOP 2026 wasn't just about setting goals. It was about creating alignment, building momentum, and ensuring every leader left with a clear understanding of where we're going and how we'll get there.

This year's focus centered around three priorities: addressing sales outliers, strengthening leadership, and growing restaurant profitability. While the goals themselves are important, the real value came from creating a shared commitment to achieving them together.

That commitment was captured in this year's theme: Storm Riders.

The theme was a reminder that great leaders don't wait for perfect conditions. They adapt, stay focused, and keep moving forward. Storm Riders embrace change, face challenges head-on, and help others do the same.

Throughout the event, leaders participated in discussions and training designed to support these priorities. Situational Leadership sessions reinforced the importance of coaching and developing people. Finance presentations helped simplify key concepts and strengthen business acumen. Operational discussions focused on sharing ideas, improving performance, and creating accountability.

Most importantly, every conversation connected back to the same vision.

One of the strengths of this year's AOP was the level of engagement. By focusing on District Managers and above-store leadership, the discussions remained strategic, collaborative, and action-oriented. Leaders left with clarity on expectations and ownership of the goals ahead.

That alignment is already extending beyond AOP. Area Coaches have begun bringing key learnings into their own WCOM meetings, helping ensure the message continues to reach every level of the organization.

Of course, AOP wasn't only about planning for the future. It was also an opportunity to recognize the leaders already making an impact.

Several leaders were honored through Champion Awards, Sustained Profit Champion Awards, Top Performer Awards, and Storm Rider Awards. One of the highlights of the event was the VIP Top Performer Dinner, which celebrated those who continue to raise the standard and inspire others through their example.

Recognition matters because people matter. When great work is acknowledged, it motivates others to grow, improve, and pursue excellence.

As the organization moves through 2026, AOP will continue to serve as more than an annual meeting. It will be the foundation for the conversations, development, accountability, and recognition that drive progress throughout the year.

The goals are clear. The leaders are aligned. The momentum is building.
