Emerge is bringing 7 Brew Drive Thru Coffee to a new chapter in Western Colorado, beginning with the reopening of its Montrose location at 1433 Encanto Place.

Following its acquisition of the location, Emerge celebrated the transition with a grand reopening designed to reconnect 7 Brew with the Montrose community. But for Emerge, this is more than the reopening of one coffee stand. Montrose is the launch point for a larger vision for 7 Brew across Western Colorado.

Montrose: The Launch Pad

Emerge has acquired the rights to develop 7 Brew throughout Western Colorado, with plans to open four additional locations in 2027. Those locations are planned for Delta, Fruita, and Grand Junction, with two stands planned for Grand Junction.

The expansion is expected to continue with four locations per year for the following three years.

For Emerge co-founder Mick Rosckowff, Montrose will remain at the center of that growth.

“This will always be where the heart is, Montrose,” Rosckowff said.

The company already has a presence in Western Colorado through its Taco Bell locations in Cortez and Durango. Adding 7 Brew creates an opportunity to bring a different kind of quick-service experience to communities across the region.

More Than a Cup of Coffee

7 Brew caught Emerge’s attention because of the energy surrounding the brand and its focus on creating an interactive customer experience.

Music, direct customer interaction, and the brand’s “talk and walk” approach are part of what makes a visit different from a traditional drive-thru experience. Baristas interact with customers throughout the line while preparing their drinks, creating an environment built around connection and energy.

For Emerge, that emphasis on people aligns naturally with its own philosophy.

The company saw firsthand how 7 Brew’s culture of kindness and employee-focused environment could complement the way Emerge approaches its restaurants and communities.

“We got into 7 Brew because we saw the brand is on fire,” Rosckowff said. “It is exciting. It is full of energy.”

Building Community Beyond the Drive-Thru

Reopening the Montrose location also represents an opportunity for Emerge to establish a stronger connection with the community.

The Montrose team has already begun getting involved with Montrose High School, including sponsorships supporting Red Hawks athletics and cheer.

For Emerge, community involvement is an important part of building the business in a new market. The goal is not only to create a positive experience for customers at the stand, but also to give back to the students, teens, and organizations that make Montrose home.

That commitment is already reflected in the response surrounding the location. The Montrose team includes more than 30 employees, and both customers and employees have welcomed the transition.

One recent example captured the kind of community connection Emerge hopes to cultivate. After learning that a young employee had moved out on her own and did not have a crock pot, a regular customer returned to the stand with one for her.

Small moments like that are part of what makes a community feel connected.

Growing the Brand, Growing the People

With coffee, energy drinks, and customizable beverages on the menu, 7 Brew offers Emerge a new opportunity within its growing portfolio.

But the opportunity goes beyond the products served through the window.

For Emerge, the next several years will be about developing a new market, creating opportunities for people, strengthening community relationships, and introducing more customers across Western Colorado to the 7 Brew experience.

Montrose is where that journey begins.

As new locations take shape across the Western Slope, Emerge will continue building on the foundation established at 1433 Encanto Place, with Montrose remaining at the heart of the story.

“We’re just happy to be here. The people are so cool.”
